Butterfly

Dustin did a wonderful job painting Payton’s room; bottom half is pink, top half is white, with a green chair rail in the middle. It's the best painted room in the house. We were going to decorate the room with butterflies but never got the chance. Since losing her, butterflies have become a symbol of Payton.

On mother’s day, Paola, her children, and our family had lunch at a park and then walked by a creek. After lunch Milana, Paola’s daughter, asked to use our camera. She spent the afternoon taking pictures and trying different settings. Neither Dustin nor I saw the pictures she had taken until today. During our walk Milana had taken a picture of a butterfly. A butterfly! Payton had been there with us on mother’s day! Thank you Milana. Thank you Payton. What a wonderful gift.
